Today’s person: Jeffrey Brian Adams!
First time I saw Jeffrey was in a production of “Death of a Salesman” at San Jose Stage Company. I was there to see Randell as Willy, but Jeffrey just stood out. “That guy’s good,” I though to myself.
I had no idea I would have the chance to work with him in two amazing musicals - “Dogfight” and “She Loves Me.” Each time he was the romantic lead, but two very different roles - one brooding and tortured, the other light-hearted and joyous - and in both roles Jeffrey was amazing. Funny, with a beautiful voice, and this piercing gaze onstage that makes you wonder if he knows some deep secret about your soul. I hope he has better things to do with his time than plumb my soul, but the look in those eyes…
Anyway, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I could be wrong. He could be a vindictive, scheming bastard bent on the destruction of all that is good and loving in the world. But if he is a monster it just goes to show what a fine actor he is, since he has me completely fooled.
