Last night in Barcelona... it's 4 am, and I just got back from the beach. I'm not gloating, I'm just saying it's warm enough here to got to the beach at 1 am. Also I'm trying to stay awake all night so that I can sleep on the all-daylight trip back home. I hate those: flying west you can get no night-time! Anyway, Lluís-Anton has been a wonderful collaborator and host. what a nice guy! He has opened his home to me in such a kind way. I wish I had room in our apartment to return the favor, but our place is small, and he would have to sleep with Velina and I - which might be more welcome than he would want. Now that the Catalan version is moving toward production Lluis-Anton has already started work on the Spanish-language version of "1984" which will be very cool. I've contacted one theatre in the U.S., and we have started our search for some Latin American connections for eventual productions. We also are looking to Madrid for a publisher. This has been such an interesting adventure; the kind of thing that happens to people I would write about, not happens to me. I mean, I've travelled alot, but this has been enough to make even the most gentile of WASPs plotz. So, again, I want to thank all the folks who help fund this trip! You are Patrons 'o The Arts, and I thank you with all my heart. And I'm not just saying that because I might have to do another fundraising drive to come back to help with the production. No, really! I haven't decided on that yet. They really want me to come back, but I hope I can raise the money some other way, some grant or something. That Indiegogo thing was- while heartening to experience all the support from the community - also exhausting! It was all I thought about for two months. I won't need half as much, but just the thought of doing that again makes me need a nap. Anyway, that's months away! In the mean time I better start packing! I leave for the airport in 2.5 hours!

1984 at the Aurora Theatre

Well 1984 FINALLY had a run in the Bay Area! I mean damn! People kept asking me why it took so long for it to run in my home area, and all I could tell tem was "go ask the Artistic Directors." Josh at
